Go for the 150. My wife and I took the Scooter course in Richmond and both have 150s. I weigh more than you and believe that a 50 would be less safe for you (too little power). Also, the course is a good introduction into scootering and safety.

Make the scootering experience fun, get at least a 150 cc. I’m 65 and 195 pounds and feel sad passing those of moped-like snail pace scooters and of course seeing them always in the wrong lane. It does require more involvement, like insurance and license but you’ll appreciate it the more you ride. Why keep the 50oc scooter always at straining speed when, for just a tad more expense, truely enjoy the whole experience ! Trust me !!

Hello Jeffrey! Are you looking for a 49cc scooter that does not require a motorcycle license and has a top speed of about 35mph or are you looking for something that goes faster and does require a motorcycle license?
