The Buddy 50 is considered a moped in Virginia, which means that you do not need a motorcycle license or insurance. Just put on a helmet and eye protection and GO! As of July 1 2014, all scooters designated as mopeds are required to be registered and have the moped plate that the state has specifically designated for this vehicle class. The Buddy 50 features a 2-stroke 49cc air-cooled engine and a totally automatic CVT (constant variable transmission).

The MSRP of the Buddy 50 is $1999. This price does not include tax, title, pre-delivery inspection, freight, helmet, or accessories.

For 2015, the Genuine Buddy 50 is available in Black, Red, Seafoam Green, Tangerine, and White.  The Buddy 50 International is also available at $2199, with the awesome retro color combinations being Italia (two tone olive green with whitewall tires) and Pamplona (two tone burgundy and cream with whitewall tires). New for 2015, the Buddy 50 is now available in a modern Gloss Titanium with black trim!
